These ubiquitous tanks were seen all over the GWR,
Western/Southern and London Suburban. These
locos came in 3 versions, the small Tank (780 Gals), the medium tank (820
Gals), (Small/Medium were visually the same), and the really large Tank
(1080Gals). All variants had various
types of cab over their life spans: Open, Open Spectacled, Half Open with
Spectacles and Closed. Most
variations included an enlarged coal bunker. Most early locos had condensing
equipment for use on the Metropolitan Line (hence the name).
Closed cabs were introduced as the loco's spread across the system.
The Kit Builds the small/medium open cab, but can easily made to cover
all the cabs.

|
The kit has a n/silver etched
chassis, and the body is all in white metal which gives adhesion. This
is an ideal kit for the beginner, and builds into a very handsome loco.

2 survived to BR days but
never carried the BR Livery.
This kit will not do the original drop footplate version . |
|
|
The Kit contains a N/Silver
Chassis and Brass body,
with W/Metal & LWB detailing
castings.
